Reflecting on Our 2024 Philanthropic Efforts – A Year of Giving and Impact

As we move into 2025, we take this opportunity to reflect on the past year and the meaningful impact our team has made through philanthropy. Giving back remains at the heart of J.M. Rodgers, and in 2024, we continued to support causes that align with our values—strengthening communities, protecting the environment, advancing healthcare, and fostering education. Through both donations and volunteer work, we were proud to make a tangible difference.

Strengthening Communities Through Donations

This year, we broadened our philanthropic reach by supporting a diverse range of nonprofit organizations dedicated to humanitarian aid, healthcare, education, environmental conservation, and social justice. Some of our key contributions included:

• Fighting Hunger and Homelessness: We supported organizations such as Action Against Hunger, Loaves & Fishes, Interfaith Food Pantry, Market Street Mission, Long Island Cares, and the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, helping to provide meals, shelter, and resources to those in need.
• Championing Education and Youth Development: We funded educational initiatives through Crayons to Classrooms, the Center for Creative Education, DonorsChoose, and Sound Start Babies, helping students access vital resources and opportunities.
• Advancing Health and Well-Being: Our contributions to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, HealthWell Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital supported medical research, treatment access, and patient care.
• Honoring and Assisting Veterans and First Responders: We remained steadfast in our support for service members and emergency responders through Homes For Our Troops, the Navy SEAL Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, and the California Fire Foundation.
• Protecting the Planet: Environmental conservation was a key priority, with donations going to 350.org, Conservation International, Defenders of Wildlife, Friends of the Earth, Oceana, Rainforest Trust, and the Sierra Club to safeguard natural ecosystems for future generations.
• Annual Giving: Make-A-Wish New Jersey & Toys for Tots: Continuing our tradition, we proudly donated to Make-A-Wish New Jersey, helping to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, spreading hope and joy where it’s needed most. Additionally, we contributed to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, ensuring that children in need received gifts and holiday cheer during the season.

The Power of Volunteerism

Beyond financial support, our employees took an active role in giving back, dedicating their time and effort to causes that matter. Some of our hands-on contributions this year included:

• Helping Local Food Banks: Our team volunteered at Interfaith Food Pantry, Market Street Mission, New Hope Food Pantry, and Loaves & Fishes, helping to distribute food to families facing food insecurity.
• Beautifying Public Spaces: We continued our work with Reeves-Reed Arboretum and the Morris County Park Commission, participating in clean-up and maintenance projects to preserve green spaces for all to enjoy.
• Caring for Animals: This year, we extended our efforts to support local animal welfare organizations. Our team personally delivered critical pet food and supplies to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center and Parsippany Animal Shelter, ensuring animals in need received proper care and nutrition.
